What the gladsome tidings?!

Christmas everybody!! Sooo...how was it? What'd you do, what'd you get, was it fun, and is it coolish (weather-wise) there? Guess what? My parents finally caved and are now putting up with a Wii. And I will use my new camera to take a picture.

We got two games, two controllers, and a nunchuck. Or however you spell that. And I guess I'll put some more pictures on.



So there was this guy who made huge ice sculpture (this wasn't even the biggest, and it was about 10 feet tall) by putting a few icicles together with packed snow, and then sprinkling water on it over night. He would do this over and over until It got bigger. And the little sprinklers on the top of each one would periodically mist the sculpture, which would create more icicles. It was really cool. Oh and sorry the picture is tilted. It wasn't when it was stored. So here's some more of his work.

This is the guy that does it. I don't know his name. I think that this is one of the biggest sculptures. They're all made entirely out of ice. Can you see the sprinkler?



He has little tables like this by most of the sculptures. The
mist from the sprinklers creates these icicles, and then he uses snow to
pack them onto the sculpture which is then misted to freeze it on.

There were some really cool textures on these.


I don't know how he made this, but it wasn't attached to anything.
I mean, it wasn't attached to a sculpture. It was sitting all by its lonesome.
But it wasn't floating.



On the way back from the ice castles, I tried to take pictures of Wesley's hat hair. But first, I had to take off his hood.

Just to clarify... he got a rugby ball for Christmas (for those of you who may or may not know, he was on a rugby team) which he carried around for the next 2-3 days. So expect it to crop up in pictures.

Cara and Alyssa, we're the only ones who do anything anymore. Jace stopped commenting/posting at the beginning of the summer, and Wesley was, like, NEVER on.
So...how unfair was this? [And by unfair, I mean I'm just really really mad, it may or may not actually be fair]
I've been begging my dad to get me a Behold [T-Mobile phone] for over a month, and two days ago, Bridian got one.
After my parents kept telling me 'NO'.

My day....slash week

OPENING STATEMENT: I have a new blog.
Totally subject to change. Lyssa named it last night, as well as the name of my blog (Sometimes I think funny thoughts...)

As many of you may (or may not, and if your a not, Ima hafta kil yu) know, I haven't gone to school AT ALL THIS WEEK! AND ITS FRIDAY!
No, I'm not skipping. I'm not that juvenile. And no, I didn't suddenly change religions so I could have a holiday week off, but that's a good idea...
I've been SICK! :P

Sunday: My throat was hurting, but nothing too bad.

Monday: I woke up WAY too early, tried to get out of bed, and fell over. I literally slept at least nine hours.My mom said she could tell I was sick because when she took me to the doctor, I was wearing bright pink flip-flops and I didn't brush my hair.

Tuesday: Slight headache, big throat-ache.(Why does headache get to be a real word and throat-ache needs that stupid slash mark?)

Wednesday: According to Bridian, if Alyssa kept playing her guitar, I was going to hack up the only lung I had! (Then she remembered that was kidneys.)

Thursday: I felt great all day, and then I crashed again. I dunno why, but I did. Throat hurt again, and head hurt, and I felt really hot again.

Friday: I woke up today at 1AM and I was crying. My stomach was hurting like crazy! I got some medicine from mi padre, and it took an hour to kick in. Then it only lasted about two (of course I couldn't go back to sleep!) and so I got it again. I tried pushing down on my stomach-it worked?- and it felt better. At a reasonable time, say, around five thirty(ish) my dad gave me some MORE medicine. It only took about twenty minutes for this to work, and it hasn't bothered me since.

I am SO looking forward to school on Monday.

Today.

SO.

I feel like this was kind of a big fat failure. We made all these plans!... and did nothing.
Absolutamente nada.

What's up with that.

I think we should keep up with this so we can try again next summer. And not have the score be

Slash... let's tell goofy stories here about what happens to us throughout the year. I'll start:

Today I was waiting for the bus and a couple of creeper guys were sitting around the bus stop. I wasn't really sure what to do (I had to wait for the bus!) when one of the guys said, "Hello. How are you today?" and proceeded to tell me about his day at the beach. He said it was really fun and they met all kinds of interesting people there, most of them who were making comments about his swimsuit. He proceeded to lift up his shirt- as I started freaking out, he said, "It's appropriate!"- and showed me his very modest purple one-piece. Weird. Then he pulled down his shorts just a little bit to show me the mini skirt that was attached. "Isn't it cute?" Oh. My. Gosh. I also noticed that he had just recently shaved his legs and was wearing toe nail polish; he was wearing sandals so he could show it off. He finished telling me about his day, shook my hand and said, "Nice to meet you! By the way, I'm Robert. Goodbye!" and left.

When I got home and told Kenyan this story, she said, "You have the weirdest friends."

How about Summer's Over in Two Weeks?!

Guys. This is it. Summer is over in two weeks.
Where has all the time gone?
...oh yeah. Into the lyk MONTH I spent in Utah without seeing either Cara or Wesley!
Thez ez no good.
Cara and Wesley, you guys need to get on the next bus/plane/train/plane/boat to Florida.

well, so far, my summer has been up and down. scored a touchdown in a football game, my friend ran into a pole, my football skills have improved, im friends with new/old people, im taking spanish and math (again) and looking forward to seventh grade.

We have some songs, but does anyone know where we're going to get sheet music? I know there are websites that give you sheet music to print as long as you pay an annual fee. And Lyssa, didn't you say you could get the cougar fight song from your friends? If not, we should be able to buy it. Is it ok that you guys bring your instruments? If so, don't forget them. Remember to ask.

Technical Difficulties

I can't post any comments either, and I've tried it on two different computers. Lyssa, maybe you you changed something when you were changing the background. Is there a way to set it so that nobody can comment? If so, can you change it? The background is awesome, though. Don't change it if you don't have to.

It's a boy!

We're finally getting some action on the blog! We just need to convince Wes and Bridian. And Jace needs a little jumpstart. And guess what? Curt and Lindsay's baby boy was born Wednesday! Anderson Carter Haynie. Little Andy. I'll try to get some pictures. For anyone who follows their blog, they have some pictures there. And now I'm going to watch Seinfeild.

Making Wonderful Sounds/Music

Hey guys. I'm guessing Alyssa made this blog, considering the username. But anyways, did everyone hear about the music piece we were planning to do this summer? Jace, Jada, and Bridian, do you guys want to bring your instruments when you come out here? I thought it would be cool to do a quartet/whatever-a-five-person-music-piece-is-called, depending on who wants to do it. If so, just post a comment. And does anyone have any ideas on the song choice? The Cougar Fight Song is one option as long as we can get the music. Post any ideas on that as well.
